Sandra Jean Schroeder, 66, of Escondido died March 20. She was born in Richmond and was an artist. She was a member of the Rancho San Pasqual Wine Club.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Schroeder; daughters, Nicole Hartshorn of Hollister and Robin Lincoln of Santa Cruz; son, Christopher Lincoln of Maryland; brother, Kent Wiedemann of South Carolina; and nine grandchildren.

ARTHUR DANIEL SHINGLETON

Oct. 12, 1908-March 21, 2008

Arthur Daniel Shingleton, 99, of San Diego died March 21. He was born in Lisbon, La., and was an aircraft assembler for General Dynamics.

Survivors include his daughters, Barbara George of Carbondale, Ill., Linda Smith and Sondra Van Rensalier of Atlanta and Dorothy Sharp, Valeria Hill-Thomas and Evelyn Shingleton, all of San Diego; and sons, Grady Shingleton and Larry Shingleton of San Diego, Arthur Shingleton Jr. of Clayton, Charles Shingleton of Los Angeles and James Shingleton of Huntsville, Ala.

Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. today, Anderson-Ragsdale Mortuary, 5050 Federal Blvd., San Diego.

Services: 11 a.m. tomorrow, Grace Community Baptist Church, 4250 El Cajon Blvd., San Diego.

Interment: after services, Mount Hope Cemetery, 3751 Market St., San Diego.

DAWN RANAE SIMS

March 17, 1955-March 27, 2008

Dawn Ranae Sims, 53, of Lemon Grove died Thursday. She was born in San Diego and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Sims; daughters, Candace Trussell, Damara Vizcarra and Tanya Pepin; stepson, Jason Sims; mother, Ruth Fry; sister, Chris Powell; brother, Lance Sims; and nine grandchildren.

JOHN VINCENT STANKO SR.

Jan. 6, 1933-March 18, 2008

John Vincent Stanko Sr., 75, of El Cajon died March 18. He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., and was a sheet-metal journeyman in heating and air conditioning. He served in the Army and was a member of the Sheet Metal Union.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Stanko; daughters, Vana Twohey of San Diego, Donna Loushani of San Diego, Joan O'Haver of El Cajon and Celeste DeVereaux of La Mesa; son, John Stanko of El Cajon; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services: private.

Interment: Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside.

THEODORE JOSEPH SZTECHMILER SR.

Jan. 1, 1932-March 28, 2008

Theodore Joseph Sztechmiler Sr., 76, of Poway died Friday. He was born in Poland and was a plumber for the Poway Unified School District. He was a member of the Polish-American Club and the Elks.

Survivors include his wife, Janina Sztechmiler; daughters, Donna Hagan and Lorraine Grover of Poway, Dolores Keeton of Clovis and Alesha Morris of Augusta, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today, with rosary at 7 p.m., Poway-Bernardo Mortuary, 13243 Poway Road, Poway.

Services: noon tomorrow, Dearborn Memorial Park, 14361 Tierra Bonita Road, Poway.

JOSEPH W. TELFORD

Oct. 13, 1914-March 15, 2008

Joseph W. Telford, 93, of Chula Vista died March 15. He was born in Kinmundy, Ill., and was a physician. He was a member of the San Diego Chamber of Commerce and San Diego Rotary Club.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Telford; daughter, Stephanie Kuster; son, Joseph Telford; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

MARY R. TROSICH

Jan. 12, 1918-March 17, 2008

Mary R. Trosich, 90, of Ramona died March 17. She was born in Superior, Ariz.

Survivors include her daughter, Radmila Miladinovich of Ramona.

ANN LOUISE UMBRELL

Ann Louise Umbrell, 82, of Chula Vista died March 20. She was born in Detroit and was an executive secretary for Rohr Industries Inc. She was a member of a bowling league.

Survivors include her sons, Paul Umbrell and Peter Umbrell; sisters, Grace Pickel, Judy Lichtcap, Irene Blakesley, Phyllis Holochwost and Jean Stroud; brothers, William Inman and Raymond Inman Jr.; and one grandchild.

ARTHUR D. WAY

Arthur D. Way, 76, of Santee died March 25. He was born in Los Angeles and was a radio announcer. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Veronica Way; daughter, Monica Seitrich; sons, Geoffrey, Matthew, Dean and Corey; sister, Dorothy Tew; and seven grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Lauren Mahan of Valley Center; son, Lawrence Zetterquist; sister, Arlene Steinhauer of Aptos; and two grandchildren.
